College Tech Prep Program - Eastland Career Center



What’s on the menu?

Enjoy watching the food network? Like to prepare meals? Dream of becoming a master chef? Culinary Arts may be the program for you!

Students will gain hands-on experience in a variety of methods for preparing creative dishes. Successful students are eligible for college scholarships and credits through affiliation with the national ProStart program, allowing students to get a head start in this field. Students also compete in local, state, and national competitions as a part of our Culinary Arts and management teams.

College preparatory coursework and the completion of Algebra I by the start of the program is also recommended for the Tech Prep curriculum.

Occupations in the culinary industry cover a wide range of education and training levels. Get a jump start on continuing education with the ProStart certificate through the National Restaurant Association and the availability of college credits.
