College Tech Prep Program - Eastland Career Center
Install a secure future.
In addition to college preparatory academics, students will learn and use electrical theory and equipment. Skill areas include installation and wiring of entrance panels, circuits, and controls. Successful students will enjoy science and math, like working with their hands, and have good eye/hand coordination.
Apprenticeship opportunities and college credits are available for students in their senior year.
Students in this program should have a solid math foundation. College preparatory coursework and the completion of Algebra I by the start of the program is also recommended.
A security system for your future.
Most employers are seeking candidates with a two- to four-year degree to work in this field. Get a jump start as an Electrical Trade Center apprentice, or on college with the availability of college credits.
