College Tech Prep Program - Eastland Career Center

If you enjoy repairing equipment, especially diesel engines, and have strong science, communications, and basic math skills, then this is the program for you!

Students will learn how to work with a variety of machines, from lawnmowers to semi-trucks, and will leave this program, located at Eastland Career Center, with skills that can be used in a variety of settings. Whether you like to work with small engines, or see yourself maintaining the largest industrial vehicles, this program will get you on your way.

College preparatory coursework and the completion of Algebra I by the start of the program is also recommended.

Analyze the machinery.

Students learn to identify and analyze mechanical problems as they repair and overhaul gas and diesel engines. Areas of study include:
