Drafters make detailed, technical drawings showing the details of products and structures from all sides. They also include exact dimensions, specific materials to be used, and procedures to be followed as a product is manufactured or built. Students use computer-assisted and machine drafting to make objects they have designed come to life.
College preparatory coursework and the completion of Algebra I by the start of the program is recommended.
