Keep your cool.

What keeps us warm in the winter and cool in the summer? If you want to understand more than just how to adjust the thermostat, check out the HVAC/R program.

Students gain skills in heating, cooling, ventilation, refrigeration, and customer service while working toward EPA universal certification on residential and light commercial applications. Students also learn essential technologies for a variety of environments, such as clean room environments, computer rooms, and commercial high-rise buildings.
College preparatory coursework and the completion of Algebra I by the start of the program is recommended.

Today employers are seeking candidates with hands-on experience and a desire to learn to work in this challenging field.  A variety of industry certification opportunities are available.

Students interested in this program will learn problem-solving skills in the mechanical, electrical, and design disciplines with the freedom of creative, self-paced learning.  The HVAC/R program, located at Fairfield Career Center, allows you to combine your love for technology with your desire to understand how it works.
