Interested in building things? Enjoy being outside? Ready to build your future? Students who want to join the growing field of construction will learn the fundamentals needed to get ahead in the Carpentry program located at Fairfield Career Center.

College preparatory coursework and the completion of Algebra I by the start of the program is recommended.

Lay the foundation.

Most employers are seeking candidates with experience and a desire to learn to work in this field. Get on the fast track with the opportunity to enter an apprenticeship at an advanced level with local Registered Apprenticeship Programs. Paid school-to-apprenticeship placement is available after the junior year for qualified students. By graduation, qualified students will have completed the second year of a four-year apprenticeship.
