If you enjoy working with people, cooking and baking, and enjoy an active work environment, a career in the restaurant industry could be your cup of tea.
College preparatory coursework and the completion of Algebra I by the start of the program is also recommended.

There are many entry-level opportunities in this field, but to advance quickly, most employers are seeking candidates with experience. Get on the fast track with the ProStart curriculum through the National Restaurant Association and the availability of credits from the following colleges:

Students immerse themselves in a variety of restaurant occupations focusing on proper food preparation and techniques, especially in institutional environments. Qualified students may participate in educational work opportunities in this program located at Eastland Career Center.
