EASTLAND CAREER CENTER STUDENTS STAND OUT AT THE REGION 14 WORKPLACE SKILLS ASSESSMENTS
The Eastland Career Center Chapter of Business Professionals of America (BPA) competed in the Region 14 Workplace Skills Assessments contest from January 30 to February 7, 2012, which included six other area schools.
 
 
Girl Scout Troop Earns Their “Try It” Badges With The Help of The Fairfield Career Center Cosmetology Students.
On January 27, 2012, the Fairfield Career Center (FCC) Cosmetology students offered a “Spa Day” for the Girl Scout troop #545. The Girl Scouts were able to earn their “Try It” badges for areas that included: Career Exploration, Hygiene, Social Skills, and Hand Washing.

Fairfield Career Center SkillsUSA Chapter students worked to brighten-up Nelsonville, Ohio
200 SkillsUSA members, including some from Fairfield Career Center, and their advisors worked to brighten-up Nelsonville during their July 20, 2011 community service project.  Throughout the day, members continuously showed their appreciation by giving back to the community. On May 3, 2011, thirteen students, two student advisors, and one administrator traveled to Washington, D.C. to participate in the Business Professionals of America (BPA) National Conference. The results were outstanding.
 
 
 
 
Eastland Career Center Students Stand Out at State Competition

The Eastland Career Center Chapter of Business Professionals of America (BPA) participated in the State Leadership Conference in Columbus, OH on March 17-18, 2011. Thirty-three students competed in contests on Thursday, March 17, and nineteen received recognition for placing in the Top 10 on Friday, March 18, at the Awards Ceremony held in Grove City, OH.

Board Member Earns OSBA Awards
Joyce Galbraith, a board member of the Educational Service Center (ESC) of
Central Ohio and Eastland-Fairfield Career & Technical Schools school boards, will be presented with the Ohio School Boards Association’s Award Of Achievement and Master Board Member Award at the association’s regional spring conference on March 16.
