English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL)

Program Overview

The English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) program is designed to empower individuals from diverse linguistic backgrounds with the necessary skills to communicate effectively in English. This comprehensive course focuses on developing the four key language skills: speaking, listening, reading, and writing, to help students become fluent and confident in using the English language .

Upon successful completion of the ESOL program, students will demonstrate enhanced proficiency in English, enabling them to navigate social, academic, and professional environments with confidence. This course serves as a foundation for further education, career advancement, and integration into English-speaking communities.

Registration Requirements

  • Age 19 or older (students that are 16-18 years of age must have official high school withdrawal documentation on their home school's district letterhead or evidence of a high school diploma)

  • Must attend and complete one New Student Orientation session and assessments provided by Eastland-Fairfield.

  • One (1) form of identification that includes your full name and date of birth

  3. If a spot is available for an upcoming orientation, an Eastland-Fairfield staff member will provide you details about your orientation session.

Important Note

Seats to orientation and ESOL classes are limited. Completing the interest form does not guarantee an individual a spot to the an orientation or ESOL class. If a seat is not open but you are interested in a future orientation or class, you will be added to a wait list.

Orientation Information

To be admitted into the ESOL program, students must attend and complete a one-day orientation session.

9:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. OR 5:00-9:00 p.m.

Class Information

Daytime and evening ESOL class options are available to students in order to provide as much flexibility as possible.

ESOL classes are free for individuals that are age 18 and over, and who do not have an F1 VISA.
