Students Advance to National BPA Conference
Twelve Eastland Career Center students advance to the BPA National Leadership Conference May 10-14 in Orlando, Florida. They were among nearly 50 who competed against students from around Ohio at the BPA State Leadership Conference last week in Columbus. Another 25 students placed in the top 10 in their contests.
Bradley Byers will compete in Advanced Accounting; Bryce Fryman, Madison Quinn and Terrence Rhodes will compete in the Start-Up Enterprise Team. Fryman will also compete in Prepared Speech. t. They are all students in Eastland’s Financial Services program. Medical Office Technologies student Teara Craiglow will compete in Medical Office Procedures.
Interactive Media students Hannah Bice, Makalia Bridges, Katie Hooker and Megan Barnes advance in the Broadcast News Production Team and Cassandra Copeland, also an Interactive Media student, will compete in Computer Modeling. Financial Services student Curtis Groce and Medical Office Technologies student Abigail Lucas will attend as voting delegates.
Additionally, the Web Design Team from the Multimedia program at Pickerington North High School qualified for the BPA NLC for the fourth year in a row after placing second in this year’s state contest. The team is made up of Lee Ogden, Hunter Thiede, Nate Reedus and Jared Poole.
