14 Fairfield Career Center students earn medals at SkillsUSA Regionals
14 Fairfield Career Center students will advance to the SkillsUSA Ohio State Championships to be held in Columbus in April after earning medals in several regional events recently.

The students who have placed at the regional competition and will advance to state include:
Gold Medals:
  • Health Knowledge Bowl: Nisya Hunter (Reynoldsburg), Iyanna Bruce (Pickerington Central), Jalyn Austin (New Albany), Sarah Seberig (Whitehall Yearling)
  • Job Demo A: Trevor Thomas (Amanda-Clearcreek)
  • IT Services: Noah Dennison (Fairfield Union)
Silver Medals:
  • Nurse Assisting: Luke Parsons (Groveport Madison)
  • TeamWorks: Liam Hill (Fairfield Union),  Branden Bowman (Reynoldsburg), Anthony Baldo (Amanda-Clearcreek), Alex Slagle (Bloom-Carroll)
  • Related Technical Math: Austin Hanneman (Teays Valley)
  • Bronze Medals:
  • Medical Terminology: Kaylee Chmielewski (Hamilton Township)
  • Job Demo Open: McKenzie Bussert (Bloom-Carroll)
  • Auto Service Technology: James Holowitz (Groveport Madison)

SkillsUSA is a partnership of students, teachers and industry representatives working together to ensure America has a skilled workforce. SkillsUSA is a national organization serving teachers and high school and college students who are preparing for careers in technical, skilled and service occupations. More than 300,000 student and advisors join SkillsUSA annually, organized into more than 18,000 sections and 52 state and territorial associations.  Combining alumni and lifetime membership, the total number reached this year is more than 360,000.  SkillsUSA has served more than 11.9 million members since its founding in 1965.  In Ohio, more than 29,000 students and instructors join annually.
