Eastland-Fairfield Career & Technical Schools Adult Workforce Development will host an Information Night on Thursday, April 26, 2018, from 6:30 p.m.-8 p.m. at the Eastland Career Center campus located at 4465 S. Hamilton Rd., Groveport, OH, 43125. The event is free and open to the public.
“We welcome adults looking to explore a new career as well as high school seniors who might be looking for what’s next after high school,” said Angela Ward, Eastland-Fairfield Adult Workforce Development Director. “This event gives our community the chance to explore our programs, learn more about financial aid, and complete an application with assistance.”
Full-time programs are available in Basic Police Officer Training (21 and over only), CNC Machining, Dental Assisting, HVAC, Medical Assisting, Multicraft Maintenance, and Welding. Short-term classes are available in Computer Literacy & Software Skills. Aspire programming is also available in GED preparation and testing, which includes basic skill classes in employability, college success, WorkKeys preparation, and computer skills. Classes are also offered in English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) including citizenship.
“Our classes are flexible and allow students to work while they’re learning in most cases,” offered Ward. “We pride ourselves on our high job placement rate and great collaboration with area employers and business partners.”
Financial aid is available to those who qualify. A representative will be available at the event to answer questions. Guests who apply for one or more programs at the event will have the $75 registration fee waived.
