Academic Services

Academic Services

English, Math, Science, Social Studies, Electives...if I choose a career field now, why do I need the rest? Sometimes it’s hard to understand how a particular course will help you in your future. The academic courses available through Eastland-Fairfield will help you connect what you’re doing in high school with the world of opportunities that await you upon graduation.

The courses you will take at Eastland-Fairfield are determined by the credits you’ve already earned, the requirements of your career-technical program, the requirements for graduation from your home school, and the requirements for admission into a post-secondary program.
Special Needs Services
Eastland-Fairfield offers a wide range of educational options for students with special needs. General education and special education services are provided at both Eastland and Fairfield Career Centers to students with an IEP or a 504 Plan. The Eastland-Fairfield district does not provide special education services to students enrolled in one of its satellite programs; however, arrangements are made between the home school and the program site.

Available on-site, Eastland-Fairfield services include:
  • Academic and Technical Tutors—provide individual assistance and support to students with IEPs who are in all general education academics.
  • Student Learning Center—is available at Eastland and Fairfield Career Centers for students to receive extra help as needed. Open for all students, all the time.
  • Resource Classes—smaller-sized classes led by licensed intervention specialists, available for all core academic subject areas.
