Back To School 2021

Back To School 2021

Letter from the Superintendent

Welcome, New Students!

I want to congratulate you on your decision to embark on your career pathway at Eastland-Fairfield Career and Technical Schools. You have made an important decision that will positively impact your future for years to come.

We have been busy preparing for your arrival on our campuses. And we have made some exciting plans for how we will welcome students back to our campuses. We know that in addition to career development, you will experience opportunities to learn about new people and to increase your connections with students from 17 high schools in Central Ohio. To support your transition to Eastland or Fairfield Career Center, we will welcome juniors only (and seniors enrolled in a junior lab) on Thursday, August 12, and seniors only on August 13. Those days will be organized to help you meet new students, begin to build new relationships, and truly become part of Eastland-Fairfield. All students will come together on Monday, August 16, and we will once again focus the day on developing our culture and identifying as a community of learners.

We have some exciting new plans in place for this year. I will be inviting you to join my Superintendent's Advisory Council. This group will be made up of students from across all labs and each career center. We will meet periodically so that you can share your ideas, feedback, and suggestions with me, personally. Your voices are extremely important, and I want to hear from you. Please watch your email early in the new school year for information on how to join this group.

We also have some new services and support systems in place for the 2021-22 school year. Mr. Dwight Carter will be leading work in the area of student support systems. This department is new for us and is designed to ensure that you have the support you need to be successful at Eastland-Fairfield.

I hope that you will join us on Tuesday, August 10, for Back to School Night. Each campus will be open from 4:00-7:30 p.m. for you and your family to visit classrooms and labs, pick up your schedule, meet your teachers and building staff, and become familiar with your new school.

Enjoy the last days of summer! We can’t wait to see you in August.

It isn't all pencils, pens, paper and books. Eastland-Fairfield students are held to a high standard in terms of a professional look.

One of Eastland-Fairfield's main roles is to help you become more professional, and part of that is dressing for the role. That is why our students are expected to follow uniform standards established by each program. Order your lab-appropriate uniform through our partner, Proforma, online at

Be sure to view the uniform fitting guide before placing your order. Fees for uniforms vary by program, but everything you buy is yours to keep and use.

If you have questions regarding uniform orders, please contact:

Students are welcomed to drive their own vehicles to their campus if they chose.

All cars parked at Eastland or Fairfield Career Center must be registered; however, there is no fee for parking. Students must park, and/or be picked up, in the student parking lot. We ask that cars stay out of the bus lanes in the front of the building. Drivers must follow all driving rules found in the handbook. Students driving to Fairfield will be assigned a specific parking space.

If your student needs transportation to or from their career center, please contact your home school to make arrangements. All busing is handled by the students' home school.
