Graduating seniors that successfully complete their lab program at Eastland-Fairfield are eligible to keep the Chromebook issued to them at the beginning of their EFCTS experience. If a student is keeping their Chromebook, please note:
- The device will be remotely reformatted (erased) shortly after Senior Recognition ceremonies
- Data stored on the cloud can be transferred to a personal Gmail account
- Data stored locally (in My Documents or your desktop) must be transferred manually (external hard drive, thumb drive, etc.)
- You will need a personal Gmail account to reactivate the Chromebook
The Eastland-Fairfield IT Department has created a step-by-step- tutorial video to show students how to complete the data transfer process and how to begin using the Chromebook on their personal GMail account after it is remotely wiped clean.
If students have questions before the last day of school or do not plan to keep their Chromebook, please direct those questions and intentions to the lab instructor.
