Middle School Career Exploration Summer Camp is not just about learning about all the different futures available to our children; it's about having FUN too! Our campers will have access to a wide variety of different sessions provided by our staff and students allowing them to try their hand at cooking, hair and nails, construction, graphic design and art, or exploring the tech world, just to name a few. Let your child get a glimpse at what it's like to be a police officer, firefighter, cosmetologist, or any of the many different careers that may interest them.

This camp is open to middle school students currently in grades 6-8.
Students must reside within one of our 16 school districts.

Pack your bags for this worldwide tour exploring the culture of distant lands! Learn about the customs and culture of different countries and how it shapes the way people think, what they eat (bugs anyone?), and how they travel.
Awesome Authors
Wizards flying in rocket ships! Talking llamas! Zombies chasing people! Let your imagination come alive through creative writing. Learn how to cultivate characters, develop nonstop action, create poetry and short stories, investigate journalism, and brainstorm the next great novel idea
Beauty Boot Camp
If you love the beauty industry, this session is for you! You will experience several introductions into many areas within the field of Cosmetology. These areas will include hair, nails, esthetics, styling, braiding, make-up, and products.
Big Bang Boom!
Students in this session will explore science concepts and conduct experiments related to chemistry, physics, and the environment.
The Ultimate Creative's Color Party
Students will explore the art of color by using paint, food coloring, tie dye, nail polish, and various types of cosmetics (such as lip gloss). Campers will learn how to create their own product and label.
Stop the Hackers!
Stop hackers in their tracks! Learn how to secure computers and networks from cyber attacks using a variety of tools and techniques.
DIY Builders
Come to this session ready to hammer and sand your own marshmallow launcher, while learning the basics of using hand tools! Students will create and assemble their own string art and wood art to take home. Campers must wear closed-toe shoes.
Doctor's Office
Campers will experience what it's like to work in a doctor’s office by managing a patient’s file from check-in to check-out. During camp, students will make decisions involved in daily office operations through a role-playing scenario as patients and medical office staff.
Engineer This!
Explore and use the Engineering Design Process to solve multiple challenges using everyday materials in unique ways! Using skills including teamwork, communication, brainstorming, and spatial reasoning, students will apply physical and mathematical principles to solve engineering problems.
Explore the Possibilities!
It's never too early to start thinking about your future! In this session, you will have the opportunity to explore some of the many career pathways available!
Eyes on You
Campers will engage in a variety of hands-on activities that explore the sensory organ of the human eye. Participants will have the opportunity to complete a dissection of an eye.
Fur and Feather
Are you an animal lover? Do you dream of being a veterinarian or working with animals? In this session, students will learn small animal care basics, including first aid, grooming, vaccines, medications, and the handling of small pets. Students will take home an animal first aid kit.
If the Crown Fits
Interested in becoming a dental professional? This session will give you the opportunity to learn more about dentistry and how you can make a difference in the lives of dental patients. If the crown fits, join the dental field!
Law Leaders
In this session, campers will gain insight into law enforcement careers, the criminal justice system, and explore various police officer duties.
Leaders of Tomorrow
Want to start your future like a boss? In this session, students have the opportunity to develop leadership skills that will assist them in their journeys from becoming today's youngster to tomorrow's boss.
Marketing Mayhem
Be in the "driver's seat" designing and marketing your very own food truck! Campers will design and create their own themes and logos to attract customers' attention. Using the 4 P’s (product, place, price, and promotion) individuals or teams will share the logistics and marketing plans.
Math Magic
Want to learn math-magic? Learn math tricks and tips that will impress your friends and teachers. Experience math through engaging activities and games to discover the art of mathematical thinking. This session can help you strengthen your skills or help you unlock the mystery of math.
Nail Services
Learn about the opportunities available to you as a Licensed Nail Technician! Kickstart your creative drive by learning how to shape and create beautiful sets of nails! Build model hands to design and create your own sets of nails and learn some fun tricks in the nail art field!
Photoshop Comics
Do you like comics? Campers in this session will use basic Photoshop techniques to color your comics. Draw, scan, and colorize your own comics!
Programming Explorers
In this session, campers will learn some fundamentals of writing computer code in JavaScript (blocks and text). Who really rules the computing world and who is in charge? How does a programmer go from receiving a problem to solving the problem using computer code? What resources can be used to keep learning on your own?
Spark the Fire Within
Have you ever wanted to be a hero? Join us in this session to learn more about a day in the life of a firefighter! Learn about a firefighter's daily activities and participate in some hands-on skills that firefighters use throughout their careers.
