Eastland-Fairfield Career & Technical Schools continues its strong representation at its students’ career technical students organizations after seven students from the Multimedia satellite program, housed at Pickerington North High School, qualified for the Business Professionals of America (BPA) national competition.
The state competition was held at the Hyatt Regency in downtown Columbus on March 10th with the awards ceremony following the next day. Students from career technical schools all over the state joined to compete and share in comradery through shared interests.
Two different teams qualified for Nationals in their respective events. Taking top honors in the state was the User Experience Design team that included seniors Josh Furillo (Pickerington North), Mary Chesnut (Liberty Union), and Nate Jones (Pickerington North). Taking second place and getting the national nod was the Website Design team of Pickerington North juniors Caden Watts, Ella Cox, Will Meyer, and Emma Nowlin.

Business Professionals of America (BPA) is the nation’s leading CTSO (Career and Technical Student Organization) for students pursuing careers in business management, information technology, finance, accounting, office administration, and other business-related career fields.
